PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A complete redesign of a prominent government agency with a focus on information architecture.

BACKGROUND: The United States Department of Agriculture, also known as the Agriculture Department, is the federal executive department responsible for developing and executing federal laws related to farming, forestry, rural economic development, and food.

PRIMARY RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: Identify goals and pain points that farmers face when they are looking for a loan in the USDA website.

TARGET USERS: The target audience of the test are agriculture workers, aspiring farmers, food workers, community organizers female and males, ages 20- 70 years old.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
- Why do users visit the USDA website? What are the goals?
- What are the expectations that users have when looking for grants and loans? (find information, get in touch with a representative, apply in the website directly, etc
- What is the end to end process that users have to go through to apply for a loan?
- Who are the users of the USDA website? (farmers, food workers, schools, gardens, community associations?)
